General Ledger |
The INNOVAK General Ledger system is a fund accounting package based on
generally accepted accounting and auditing practices. Its unique features
provide flexibility of use. The General Ledger is a double-entry accounting
system utilizing the clearing fund concept. It is fully integrated with, and is
a pre-requisite for many other components of the Financial Management System.
Some of the features of the Innovak General Ledger System include:
- Accounts may be up to 40 characters (50 with edits)
- Up to 10 account dimensions
- Maximum length of a dimension is 10 characters
- Dimensions may be named anything
- Numbers and letters and characters are allowed
- Extensive detail history of transactions
- Monthly budgeting
- Month to date figures retained for all months
- On-inquiry to screen by: vendor, account, parts of account, purchase
order, invoice, date, etc.
- Simultaneous processing of more than one accounting year
- User defined report writing
- Easy reclassification of transaction from month to month
- Enhanced journal entry data base, includes vendor numbers
- Real time availability on account balances
